SUCH AN HONOR !

The Dunsmuir Chamber of Commerce has selected our store as the 2009 Business of the Year. The first time the award has been given and it was given to us! We feel deeply honored and having spent a lot of time recently researching our town's businesses (as we work on the publication of a book on the history of Dunsmuir - to be released in June, 2010), we feel somewhat humbled that of all of the literally hundreds of businesses that have come and gone since 1886, our 116 year old store has survived to be honored in this way. Prior owners of our store; Alexander Levy, Jake Eherenman, Jim Lockhart, Jack LaBarre, and Nick Melo would be proud, and hopefully approve of our store the way it is today. We feel doubly blessed in that we have had the opportunity to be doing something that we truly enjoy - and at the same time be honored for it by our community.
